A new platform for edgar.tools
Visit the new Edgar.tools - built for the agentic web. Get realtime AI briefings as filings arrive delivered to your in-app Inbox, email or web hook destination
Last weekend I launched the new edgar.tools. The site is now hosted on Cloudflare with a fresh coat of paint and a sturdier set of bones. Bones that are based on Cloudflare - a company known mainly as an edge/network specialist now sneakily making major inroads into the new agentic web. This is what the new edgar.tools has become - beauty on top of a smart set of well designed web and agentic primitives - or will become once I sort out the teething pains.
Switching from Railway was made after much consideration. Railway is a great platform to start but and a natural fit for the Pythonic origins of edgartools. But the focus is as always on the user and Cloudflare promises greater reliability and uptime. It is also lower cost and I will book that reduction in expenses and invest in better models for AI workflows (Claude Haiku occasionally in place of Llama 3.3).
Real time SEC Filings
The centerpiece is the live feed of SEC filings. It behaves pretty much the same as in the previous version of the app - filing stream in as they land on the SEC but you can now filter and search back through months of filings and the UI behaves snappily.

At this point I should probably say something about Agents. I won't.
But instead with edgar.tools you watch filings as they arrive.

Screen
The app is built on the entire SEC universe. Screens allow you to see only what you want. And you can use Screens with Sentinels.

The slicing and dicing of screens is pretty granular.

I'm also rolling out a few features that you will find useful. We will keep it hushed for now so I won't mention Company Wikis or Research Hubs or Personal Investing Thesis or any use of AI in any of these.
So let's just show the revamped Company page.

Some things to fix
In tech there are always issues. I'm working hard to fix these.
MCP Auth Issues
My phone is buzzing every 15 or so minutes with MCP authentication issues - annoying for me but quite possibly critical for you. Switching the server meant breaking the authentication so for at least 2 of you - please disconnect and reconnect to https://app.edgar.tools/mcp in Claude Desktop. I am still trying to find who you are, and I assume you will email support at some point. It's one of these things I am learning.
Conclusion
I am still heavily invested in edgartools - the open source Python library for SEC filings. Last week however was the longest I have gone without a release in over half a year, mainly to get the new site up. I will spend more time this week to catch up and try to do both.
The goal is to make the platform generally more available to more users and in different ways. So if you have workflows based upon SEC filings and need any real time analysis head over to app.edgar.tools and see if any of your workflows fit.
